An Israeli strike kills seven on Beirut seafront, Lebanese authorities said Thursday, marking another deadly attack in the heart of the capital as fighting between Hezbollah and Israel intensifies.
Officials in Beirut confirmed the strike targeted the Ramlet al-Bayda seaside area early Thursday. The Lebanese health ministry reported seven deaths and 21 injuries after the explosion hit a car.
Footage aired by local media showed smoke rising along the coastal road shortly after the blast. Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency said emergency crews rushed to the scene.

In a statement early Thursday, the group said it fired missiles at an Israeli military intelligence facility near Tel Aviv.
The Israeli government did not immediately confirm the extent of damage from the reported missile strike near the major coastal city.
