The Nigeria Police Force in Edo State has commenced a full-scale investigation into a viral video that captured a troubling bullying incident involving students of Igbinedion Secondary School in Benin City.
The development has drawn widespread attention, prompting both law enforcement authorities and school management to take swift action.
In an official statement issued on Saturday, the Edo State Police Command confirmed that it is treating the matter with seriousness and urgency.
The statement, signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Eno Ikoedem, revealed that the Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, has directed the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the area to visit the school and begin a detailed inquiry without delay.

According to the school authorities, the institution maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward bullying, cultism, intimidation, harassment, and any form of violence.
Following an internal review conducted immediately after the incident came to light, the students identified as responsible were expelled from the school with immediate effect.
