Ogunbayo declares Tinubu best presidential candidate for 2027

Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo, an aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing Ibadan North-West/South-West Federal Constituency, has expressed strong confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, describing him as the most suitable candidate for Nigeria’s presidency in the 2027 general elections.

In a statement circulated to party members and supporters in Ibadan, Ogunbayo said his position was based on what he described as ongoing reforms and policy initiatives introduced under Tinubu’s administration.

According to him, while the country continues to navigate economic and social challenges, the current leadership has demonstrated resilience and a willingness to implement structural changes.

Ogunbayo noted that leadership continuity, when accompanied by measurable reforms, can provide stability for long-term development.

He argued that Tinubu’s approach to governance reflects experience gathered over decades in public service, including his tenure as Governor of Lagos State and his role in national political coalition-building.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains the best presidential candidate for Nigeria in 2027.

“The reforms being implemented require time, consistency, and support to yield full results,” Ogunbayo stated.

The Ibadan-born politician emphasised that the administration’s economic policies, though challenging in the short term, are aimed at restructuring key sectors to promote sustainable growth.

He pointed to ongoing fiscal adjustments, revenue reforms, and infrastructure development efforts as indicators of long-term planning.

While acknowledging public concerns about the cost of living and economic hardship, Ogunbayo urged Nigerians to assess government policies within the broader context of national transformation.

He maintained that difficult decisions are sometimes necessary to reposition an economy facing structural imbalances.

Beyond economic reforms, Ogunbayo highlighted security coordination and institutional restructuring as areas where he believes progress is being made.

He expressed optimism that sustained collaboration between federal and state governments would further enhance stability across regions.

Addressing members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Ogunbayo encouraged unity and strategic mobilisation ahead of 2027.

He stated that internal cohesion would be critical in consolidating support for the party’s agenda at both national and constituency levels.

He also called on grassroots organisations and youth groups to engage constructively in political discourse, adding that issue-based campaigns should define the next electoral cycle.

According to him, the 2027 elections should focus on policy direction, governance outcomes, and national development priorities rather than divisive rhetoric.

Ogunbayo maintained that his support for Tinubu is rooted in what he described as a belief in reform continuity.

He argued that leadership transitions can disrupt policy momentum and that sustained implementation of current programmes could strengthen Nigeria’s economic foundation.

He further urged Nigerians to remain engaged in democratic processes, including voter registration and civic participation, stressing that leadership choices ultimately rest with the electorate.

“As we approach 2027, Nigerians must carefully evaluate leadership records and future plans. My conviction is that President Tinubu remains the best candidate to continue steering the country toward stability and growth,” he added.

The aspirant concluded by reaffirming his commitment to representing the interests of Ibadan North-West/South-West constituents, stating that his legislative ambition aligns with broader efforts to support policies he believes will advance national development.
