Edo APC passes a vote of confidence in Governor Okpebholo, reaffirming Edo APC unity, Edo APC leadership, and commitment to fairness across the state.
The Edo APC has once again demonstrated internal unity and political maturity by passing a strong vote of confidence in Governor Monday Okpebholo.
The party praised his exceptional leadership, commitment to progress, and unwavering efforts to reposition the All Progressives Congress in Edo State.
The decision was reached after a weekend meeting of the State Working Committee (SWC), which deliberated on issues affecting party cohesion and organizational effectiveness.
The Edo APC also reaffirmed its confidence in State Chairman, Emperor Jarret Tenebe, and State Secretary, Engr. Lawrence Okah, acknowledging their contributions to stability and collective success.
In a statement signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Barrister Peter Uwadiae-Igbinigie, the Edo APC said the vote of confidence symbolizes renewed faith in its leadership and a shared vision for progress.
The party noted that Governor Okpebholo has provided steadfast direction, ensuring discipline, inclusiveness, and effective coordination across all levels of the APC in Edo State.

The meeting also reviewed pending disciplinary issues and took steps to reconcile affected members in the interest of harmony.
As part of its resolutions, the Edo APC lifted the suspension of Hon. Valentine Asue and Mrs. Stella Ogbetta, the Woman Leader of Oredo Ward 10, after reviewing the circumstances surrounding their cases.
However, the suspension of Mallam Adamu Ototobor, Chairman of Ward 9 in Etsako East Local Government Area, will remain in effect pending further investigation.
The party urged all members to remain loyal, law-abiding, and committed to the ideals of the APC. It stressed that loyalty and teamwork are essential to sustaining the progress achieved under the leadership of Governor Okpebholo and the state executive committee.
“A vote of implicit confidence was unanimously passed on the Governor of Edo State, Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo; the State Chairman, Emperor Jarret Tenebe; and the State Secretary, Engr. Lawrence Okah, for their steadfast leadership, dedication, and remarkable efforts in repositioning the party and advancing the progress of Edo State,” the statement read.
The Edo APC praised the governor for uniting members under a single vision of development and good governance. His leadership, it said, has strengthened the confidence of party stakeholders and renewed the optimism of supporters across all senatorial districts.
Chairman Emperor Jarret Tenebe was commended for promoting transparency and inclusiveness in decision-making, while Secretary Engr. Okah was recognized for his efficient administration and coordination of party affairs.
