Cristiano Ronaldo posted a humorous remark on Instagram after leading Al-Nassr to victory in the inaugural Saudi Pro League game of 2025.
Stefano Pioli’s side defeated Al-Alkhoud 3-1, with Ronaldo scoring from the penalty spot. Sadio Mane, on the other hand, grabbed the spotlight from the Portuguese superstar, scoring one in each half and earning a penalty that Ronaldo converted.
Ronaldo has been in great form this season, scoring 11 goals and providing two assists in 13 league matches.
It was a significant three points for Al-Nassr as they continue to chase leaders Al-Ittihad, who are eight points ahead with a game in hand. After winning, Ronaldo headed to Instagram and posted a carousel of photos with a caption.
The first photo showed Ronaldo cheekily popping out his tongue, captioned “Best way to start the year 😜.” Ronaldo will be back in action for Al-Nassr’s next league game against Al-Taawoun on January 17.
