The APC has also welcomed new members, including Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State and Governor Caleb Mutfwang, who recently defected from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

The process began with a nationwide electronic membership registration, which ran from December 1, 2025, to January 30, 2026.
