Last summer, Manchester United reportedly made an attempt to sign Tosin Adarabioyo, a former Man City star, as a free agent.
Manchester City anticipates that in upcoming transfer windows, United would target more of its academy graduates, according to The Athletic.
Jason Wilcox, United’s technical director, was in charge of City’s academy before, thus he is well-versed in their young players.
His connections could influence future transfer battles, although United missed out on Adarabioyo to Chelsea.
United’s interest in Adarabioyo points to a developing tactic of pursuing talent nurtured by City in order to bolster their roster.
With Wilcox’s advice, United might keep looking into ways to sign players who have experience in the City program.
