Security concerns escalated along the border between Niger and Kwara states over the weekend as violent bandit attacks left communities in fear and mourning.
On Wawa-Luma Road in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State, 20 passengers were abducted from two Sharon buses and two Golf cars.
The victims were reportedly taken into the dense Kainji Lake forest early yesterday morning, highlighting the boldness and ruthlessness of the assailants.
The recent abduction follows a spate of attacks that claimed at least 27 lives in Konkonso, Pissa, and Tunga-Makeri.
