It is indeed very necessary, and most importantly, well deserved, that we pause to celebrate an exceptional gentleman, professional and distinguished public servant, Engr. Smith Oladipupo Akanji, who officially retired from the service of Oyo State Government on 30th September 2026.
Retirement is not merely the end of a career; it is a moment to reflect on years of commitment, sacrifice, professionalism, responsibility and contributions to the development of the society.
For Engr. Smith Oladipupo Akanji, this milestone represents the culmination of a remarkable journey of service, dedication and honour.
Throughout his years in service, he distinguished himself as a man who understood the true meaning of responsibility.
His commitment to duty, professional discipline, humility and willingness to contribute positively wherever he found himself have made him a person worthy of recognition and celebration.
