In a united response, four lawmakers have firmly denied any involvement in alleged plans to remove the governor, dismissing the claims as false and politically motivated.

The allegations reportedly linked the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Abiodun Mohammed Fadeyi; Chief Whip, Hon. Gbenga Joseph Oyekola; Hon. Sunkanmi Babalola; and Hon. Saminu Riliwanu Gbadamosi to a supposed meeting held in Lagos.
The meeting was said to involve discussions around plans to remove the governor from office.
However, all four lawmakers have categorically denied any involvement, insisting that the story is fabricated and aimed at creating division within the political structure of Oyo State politics.
Hon. Abiodun Mohammed Fadeyi strongly dismissed the claims, stating that he has never participated in any gathering aimed at undermining the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde.
He explained that the allegations were deliberately constructed by individuals seeking to damage his reputation and mislead the public.
According to him, he remains committed to legislative duties and has no interest in any form of political destabilisation.
He further clarified that he has consistently supported the development agenda of the current administration and has no connection to any alleged discussions held outside the state.
