Prophet Aikore has reportedly intervened in the ongoing controversy involving Fuji musician Taye Currency and singer Rolex Dee, in what could represent a significant step toward reconciliation and an amicable resolution of the long-running dispute.
The development comes after Rolex Dee’s mother reportedly approached Prophet Aikore and pleaded with him to intervene, appeal to Taye Currency and encourage him to sheath his sword in the interest of peace.

The controversy began after allegations were made against Rolex Dee concerning statements allegedly directed at Taye Currency.
The Oyo State Police Command confirmed in April 2026 that Rolex Dee had been arrested following a formal complaint alleging cyberbullying, defamation and threats to life.
According to the police, the allegations included statements allegedly made on social media and during the Agbaletu programme. The police maintained that the arrest followed an investigation and that due process was being followed.
However, the matter subsequently became much bigger than what many initially expected to be a dispute that could potentially have been addressed through dialogue, reconciliation or an appropriate civil legal process.
Rolex Dee’s prolonged detention became a major point of concern among his family, supporters and advocates.
His lawyer, Damilare Adenola, later raised concerns about the conditions under which his client was being held, arguing that a person awaiting trial should not be subjected to degrading treatment.
This situation also attracted the attention of human-rights advocates, while MC Bokujaka emerged prominently among those publicly advocating for Rolex Dee’s freedom and calling for a peaceful, out-of-court resolution of the dispute.

Rolex Dee was subsequently granted bail by the Federal High Court in Lagos in August 2026. Reports stated that the court imposed bail conditions requiring two sureties of ₦50 million each, among other conditions.
