Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has strongly dismissed claims made by presidential aide Daniel Bwala, insisting he has no time to respond to baseless accusations.
Obi emphasized that his track record as governor of Anambra State speaks louder than rumors or political propaganda.
The controversy emerged after Peter Obi appeared on a popular podcast, where he was asked to respond to Bwala’s claims.
Bwala alleged that Obi, while governor, deposited state funds in a bank he chaired to earn personal interest. He stated:
“Peter Obi saved the money, but he saved it in a bank where he was chairman. That is where he was making the money. He would refer to Anambra, saying, ‘When I left, I saved this amount.’ But if you deduct liabilities from the savings, nothing remains. This is pure 419.”
