The state of Gombe has received renewed national and international attention following the announcement that Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya will be honoured with a Special Recognition Award for outstanding contributions to agricultural transformation and rural development.

The award presentation is scheduled to take place during the 2026 SAA Nigeria Annual Stakeholders Workshop, which will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, in Abuja.
