Uganda striker Uche Ikpeazu has said he does not know whether he will celebrate if he scores against Nigeria’s Super Eagles in Group C’s crucial match.
Ikpeazu, 30, was born in Harrow, London, to a Nigerian father from Delta State and a Ugandan mother, giving him dual heritage and international football options.
A former Reading Academy player, Ikpeazu joined Watford in 2013 but did not make a first-team appearance, gaining experience instead from loan spells at multiple English clubs.
During his time on loan, Ikpeazu played for Crewe Alexandra, Doncaster Rovers, Port Vale, and Blackpool, developing his skills and learning how to cope with professional football pressure.
In August 2016, Ikpeazu signed for Cambridge United, spending two seasons becoming a consistent attacking option and showing resilience, determination, and scoring ability that earned him recognition among peers.
