This extensive 5.04-kilometre road network is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion across key areas such as Ojota, Maryland, Mende, Opebi, and Allen within Ikeja.

Omotoso noted that the bridge, conceived over two decades ago, had remained dormant until the current administration revived and completed it as part of its broader infrastructure agenda.

The upgraded facility now accommodates 36 schools—31 secondary and five primary—serving approximately 20,000 students. Spread across 11.73 hectares, the complex has been transformed into a modern educational hub.
The redevelopment includes newly constructed classroom blocks, renovated buildings, and improved learning facilities.
Students and teachers will also benefit from an ICT hub, central laboratories, vocational training centres, and sports facilities.
Health services are integrated into the complex, and special consideration has been given to accessibility for students with disabilities.

Omotoso emphasised that upgrading the Tolu Schools Complex, more than 40 years after its establishment, demonstrates the government’s commitment to inclusive and quality education.

Additional Lagos projects scheduled for commissioning include the Lagos State Geographic Information Service building, which is expected to enhance land administration and urban planning, and a mid-level agro-produce hub along the Lekki-Epe corridor.
