President Tinubu orders security agencies to track Kaduna attackers, rescue abducted residents and restore peace after deadly Naridon Village attack.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the Nigerian military, police and other security agencies to intensify operations in Kaduna State following a deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area.
The directive was issued after suspected attackers invaded the community on Monday, killing about 30 residents, including women and children, and setting several houses ablaze.
The assailants were also reported to have abducted some residents during the attack, prompting the President to direct security agencies to urgently step up efforts to locate the perpetrators and secure the safe release of the victims.
Tinubu condemned the incident on Tuesday, describing the attack as a barbaric and cowardly act carried out against innocent and defenceless Nigerians.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President said the perpetrators must be identified and brought to justice.
He directed the Armed Forces, Nigeria Police Force and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations around the affected communities and other areas considered vulnerable to further attacks.

“I have directed the Armed Forces, police, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly, secure the release of abducted individuals, and restore normalcy to the region,” the President said.
The latest directive comes amid continued security concerns in parts of Kaduna State, where rural communities have faced threats from criminal groups and other violent elements.
President Tinubu warned that individuals and groups seeking to undermine the progress made in improving security across Kaduna State would face a decisive response from the Federal Government.
He said his administration would not allow criminal elements to disrupt peace or threaten the lives and property of Nigerians.
The President also assured residents of the affected communities that the Federal Government would provide the necessary support to security agencies as they work to restore calm and prevent further attacks.
He extended his condolences to the families of those killed in the Naridon Village attack, as well as Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, the state government and the people of Kaduna State.
Tinubu expressed sympathy to the victims’ families and acknowledged the devastating impact of the attack on the affected communities.
He said the government remained committed to confronting insecurity and strengthening the country’s security architecture to better protect citizens.
“Our administration has an unwavering commitment to strengthening security infrastructure, equipping response personnel, and neutralising criminal networks attempting to disrupt the peace of the nation,” Tinubu said.
The President maintained that the government would continue to provide security personnel with the necessary support to confront criminal networks and restore stability in communities affected by violence.
Beyond the immediate security response, Tinubu called for stronger cooperation between residents and security agencies, particularly in rural areas where timely intelligence can play an important role in preventing attacks.
He urged residents of Naridon Village and neighbouring communities to share credible information with security personnel about suspicious movements and activities in their areas.
According to the President, timely and actionable intelligence from local residents would help security agencies respond more quickly to emerging threats, identify the perpetrators and prevent similar incidents in the future.
“I urge our local communities to cooperate with security forces by providing actionable intelligence that would help early response efforts,” he added.
The appeal is expected to strengthen collaboration between local communities and security personnel as the authorities intensify efforts to address insecurity in Kaduna State.
The President’s directive also places renewed attention on the need for sustained security operations in vulnerable communities, particularly those located in remote areas where criminal groups may exploit difficult terrain to carry out attacks.
Security agencies are now expected to increase their presence in and around the affected areas while working to gather intelligence that could lead to the arrest of those responsible for the attack.
The Federal Government is also expected to continue supporting the Kaduna State Government as efforts are made to restore normalcy and reassure residents of their safety.
For the families affected by the attack, the immediate concern remains the loss of loved ones and the safe return of those reportedly abducted.
President Tinubu, however, assured Nigerians that his administration would remain focused on protecting lives and property and would continue its campaign against criminal networks operating across the country.
He reiterated that the Federal Government would not allow terrorists, bandits or other criminal groups to undermine national peace and security.
The President’s latest order comes as part of his administration’s broader efforts to strengthen security operations and improve the government’s response to threats facing communities across Nigeria.
He said the fight against insecurity would continue until criminal elements are effectively dismantled and peace is restored to affected communities.
The attack on Naridon Village has once again highlighted the security challenges confronting some communities in Kaduna State and the urgent need for effective intelligence gathering, rapid security response and closer cooperation between residents and security agencies.
With the President’s directive now in place, security agencies are expected to intensify the search for the attackers, pursue those responsible for the killings and work towards securing the release of the abducted victims.
Tinubu also reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that Nigerians can live and conduct their daily activities without fear, assuring citizens that efforts to protect lives, secure communities and restore peace across the country would continue without interruption.
