Oluwatobi Ogunbayo congratulates Yemi Aderibigbe on his appointment as Director-General of Senator Alli’s APC governorship campaign in Oyo State.
Honourable Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo, an aspirant for the Ibadan North-West and South-West Federal Constituency, has congratulated Asiwaju Barrister Yemi Aderibigbe following his appointment as the Director-General of the Campaign Council of Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State.
Ogunbayo described the appointment as a recognition of Aderibigbe’s political experience, leadership qualities and longstanding involvement in grassroots politics across the state.
In a congratulatory message, the federal constituency aspirant said the new position represented more than a political appointment, describing it as a fresh opportunity for Aderibigbe to serve and contribute to the collective aspirations of the APC and the people of Oyo State.
According to Ogunbayo, the confidence placed in Aderibigbe was justified by his understanding of grassroots politics and his ability to bring people together in pursuit of a shared objective.
He said Aderibigbe’s previous experience as Chairman of Akinyele Local Government Area would be an advantage in his new assignment, expressing confidence that the former council chairman would deploy his political maturity, administrative experience and extensive grassroots network to the campaign.

Aderibigbe’s appointment was announced by Senator Alli in a statement personally signed by him on Tuesday and made available to journalists in Ibadan.
Explaining the decision, Alli said the appointment was based on Aderibigbe’s reputation as a dedicated political leader with years of experience in grassroots mobilisation and people-focused leadership.
The APC governorship candidate said Aderibigbe had maintained a strong connection with the grassroots, particularly since his tenure as Chairman of Akinyele Local Government Area.
Alli also acknowledged the former council chairman’s commitment to the welfare of ordinary citizens, noting that his leadership experience would be valuable in coordinating the party’s campaign activities across Oyo State.
The senator, who represents Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, urged the newly appointed Campaign Director-General to bring his wealth of political experience and knowledge of the state to bear on the campaign.
Alli described Aderibigbe as an important figure in the progressive political movement in Oyo State, while acknowledging his contributions to the state’s political, social and economic development.
“Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe is one of the pillars of progressive politics in our dear state. He has made immense contributions to the political, social and economic development of Oyo State,” Alli said.
The APC candidate also praised Aderibigbe for his loyalty to the party and his role as a bridge-builder, describing his commitment to party development and the mentoring of younger politicians as worthy of commendation.
According to Alli, Aderibigbe’s responsibility will include providing leadership for the campaign council, coordinating its activities and mobilising party members and supporters across the state towards the APC’s electoral success.
He also described the new Campaign Director-General as a team player, expressing optimism that he would work closely with other leaders and members of the campaign council to effectively coordinate the APC’s campaign activities.
“As a team player, I have no doubt that he will excel in this assignment by effectively coordinating the campaign council alongside other distinguished leaders and members of our great party,” Alli added.
Aderibigbe previously served as Chairman of Akinyele Local Government Area before becoming Special Adviser on Transport under the administration of the late former Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
His appointment places him at the centre of the APC governorship campaign structure in Oyo State, where his experience in local government administration, grassroots politics and party mobilisation is expected to play a key role in the campaign.
