Senator Sharafadeen Alli vision for Oyo State has been outlined by the Guber aspirant promising to pursue stronger institutions, economic opportunities and people-focused governance if elected governor of Oyo State in 2027.
According to a report by Freshpage.com, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate said his ambition was motivated by a desire to create a stronger, prosperous and rewarding Oyo State where government delivers tangible benefits to citizens.
Alli Says Oyo Needs Development, Not Political Theatre
Alli, who represents Oyo South Senatorial District, said residents should expect a political contest centred on ideas, practical policies and measurable solutions rather than personal attacks and political distractions.
“The people are not asking for political theatre. They are asking for security, jobs, functioning schools, accessible healthcare, good roads and an economy that gives them a fair chance,” he said.
The senator argued that the Sharafadeen Alli vision for Oyo is based on addressing everyday challenges affecting residents across communities, while creating an environment where people can pursue legitimate economic and social opportunities.
He criticised what he described as attempts by political opponents to rely on innuendo, blackmail and character assassination instead of presenting alternative programmes capable of addressing Oyo State’s challenges.

“Oyo cannot afford another season of political noise without development. The state’s future must be shaped by competence, accountability and a clear commitment to public service,” Alli said.
2027 Oyo Governorship Election: Alli Promises Issue-Based Campaign
As preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 Oyo governorship election, Alli challenged political actors to concentrate on policies that can improve the lives of residents rather than unproductive exchanges.
The APC candidate urged voters to examine programmes, competence and practical solutions when assessing those seeking political offices in the state.
He also pledged full local government autonomy, saying stronger councils would allow government to respond more efficiently to community needs and accelerate development at the grassroots.
According to Alli, effective local administration requires strong institutions, transparent leadership and prudent management of public resources.
His position places local government reform among the major components of his broader Sharafadeen Alli vision for Oyo, with emphasis on bringing governance closer to residents.
Education, Healthcare and Infrastructure Take Centre Stage
Alli said a better Oyo State must provide quality and affordable education while improving access to healthcare, roads, social amenities and agricultural opportunities.
He also promised to prioritise workers’ welfare, including the prompt payment of salaries, gratuities and pensions if given the opportunity to lead the state.
The APC candidate said improved worker welfare would contribute to higher productivity and create a more stable environment for public servants to deliver essential services.
Beyond government employees, Alli said his administration would focus on economic empowerment, security, job creation and accelerated development across different sectors of the state.
He promised governance that would be judged by measurable results rather than political slogans.
Alli Targets Investment, Jobs and Economic Growth
A major part of the Sharafadeen Alli vision for Oyo is the creation of an investment-friendly environment capable of attracting businesses and expanding employment opportunities.
“Our administration will create investment-friendly environment capable of attracting businesses, expanding employment opportunities and establishing sustainable economic pathways for farmers, entrepreneurs, professionals and other productive citizens,” he said.
Alli said farmers, entrepreneurs and professionals should have greater opportunities to contribute to the state’s economic growth.
He also promised a compassionate and accessible government that would protect citizens’ rights and allow residents to pursue their legitimate aspirations without intimidation or arbitrary interference.
The APC candidate linked economic development with security, arguing that residents and investors need confidence in the protection of their lives, property and legitimate investments.

Land Grabbing: APC Candidate Promises Decisive Action
Alli also addressed the issue of land grabbing, promising decisive action against practices that threaten property ownership, legitimate investments and peaceful coexistence in Oyo State.
He said his administration would operate under the rule of law and would have no room for impunity or selective justice.
The pledge forms another important part of the Sharafadeen Alli vision for Oyo, particularly as land disputes and property-related concerns remain significant issues in many developing communities.
He said government must protect legitimate interests while ensuring that residents and investors can operate without fear.
Alli Highlights Experience and Grassroots Engagement
The APC candidate also pointed to his experience in public service, legislative responsibilities and longstanding engagement with communities across Oyo State.
Alli described himself as a tested and competent politician who understands the aspirations, expectations and frustrations of residents.
He said his political philosophy was centred on service, development and practical governance rather than propaganda.
According to him, his interactions with communities across the state have provided firsthand understanding of the difficulties confronting residents and the urgency required to address them.
He said his vision for Oyo was ultimately about building a state where government works for the people, protects legitimate interests and creates opportunities across communities.
A Promise to Build a Prosperous Oyo
Alli said his ambition was not simply about occupying the governor’s office but about leaving behind stronger institutions and a more prosperous state for current and future generations.
His proposed agenda covers security, education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, workers’ welfare, economic empowerment, local government autonomy and protection of property rights.
With the 2027 Oyo governorship election approaching, his promises are expected to form a major part of the APC campaign narrative as the political contest develops.
For Alli, the central argument is that Oyo’s future should be determined by competence, accountability and practical solutions rather than political distractions.

The Sharafadeen Alli vision for Oyo therefore presents his campaign as an attempt to shift political conversations towards development, economic opportunities and measurable governance.
Whether voters ultimately embrace the programme will depend on how effectively Alli and the APC communicate their plans and convince residents that the proposed policies can translate into meaningful improvements.
