Ange Postecoglou acknowledged that Tottenham had a difficult evening and that Liverpool had been superior in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semifinal, which they lost 4-0.

Spurs’ passive strategy disappointed him, as he pointed out that they didn’t play to their identity.

Postecoglou emphasizes that his team must maintain their style while focusing on future competitions in spite of the defeat. “Tough night,” he said.

We couldn’t compete with Liverpool tonight; they were simply too excellent.

With or without the ball, we never fully grasped the game.

It was challenging for us to enter the game since we just let them take control quite early.

“We should have performed better on each of the first two goals, but in the end, what mattered most was that we never played to our strengths and identity and rather avoided the task.

“All things considered, we had a poor start, were far too passive, and allowed Liverpool to establish a rhythm.

Starting on Sunday, we still have competitions to compete in.

Instead of coming up with new strategies to win games, we must take advantage of the opportunities we still have.
