The APC Plateau State Forum has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Plateau State Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for second terms, signaling confidence in the party’s leadership and direction as Nigeria approaches the 2027 general elections.

The announcement came during a press briefing in Abuja, led by the forum’s chairman, Hon. Yakubu Pam Gam Sakondong.

He praised the leadership of President Tinubu, saying the APC has grown stronger and more inclusive under his administration.

“We sincerely commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to strengthening the APC,” Sakondong said.

“Under his guidance, the party has expanded its national reach and attracted new supporters across diverse communities.”

The forum also commended the reforms introduced by the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda.

According to Sakondong, the initiatives—including electronic membership registration and policies promoting youth, women, and persons with disabilities—have modernized the party and improved governance at all levels.

“Prof. Nentawe’s open-door approach and reconciliation efforts have strengthened unity within the APC, encouraging more citizens to join the party,” Sakondong added.

“These reforms reflect the party’s commitment to inclusiveness and responsive leadership.”

Highlighting internal party democracy, the APC Plateau State Forum applauded the National Executive Committee’s decision to zone the party chairmanship to the North Central region and Plateau State.

Sakondong described this move as both fair and reflective of the zone’s contributions to national politics.

The forum also pointed to the APC’s strong performance in the February 21, 2026 Area Council elections in the Federal Capital Territory, where the party won five out of six councils.

Sakondong attributed part of this success to the strategic role of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, whose efforts helped solidify public confidence in the party’s leadership.

“This victory demonstrates renewed trust by FCT residents in the APC and its ability to deliver effective governance,” he noted.

Reiterating its political stance, the APC Plateau State Forum formally endorsed both President Tinubu and Governor Mutfwang for re-election.

“APSFA unequivocally supports President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for second terms in office,” Sakondong said, emphasizing the importance of continuity in leadership for the party’s long-term goals.

The forum also highlighted the APC’s achievements under its current leadership, including strengthened party structures, national cohesion, and a forward-looking policy agenda.

With these developments, the APC Plateau State Forum expressed confidence that the party is well-positioned to lead Nigeria into the 2027 general elections.

By endorsing Tinubu and Mutfwang, the APC Plateau State Forum signals a clear message of unity, organizational strength, and commitment to democratic principles.

This move also underscores the party’s resolve to maintain momentum ahead of critical national contests, demonstrating that the APC remains a formidable political force across Nigeria.
