CAPE TOWN, South Africa, September 18, 2025/ – Africa’s largest energy event – African Energy Week (AEW): Invest in African Energies – will return from September 29 to October 3 in Cape Town, offering a strategic platform for dialogue, dealmaking and energy investment across the continent.
With just two weeks to go, the event is preparing to welcome over 7,000 delegates for its most ambitious edition yet, bringing together stakeholders committed to financing Africa’s energy future.
AEW: Invest in African Energies 2025 returns at a pivotal moment for the African energy sector. With demand rising due to rapid urbanization and economic growth, energy investment has become a priority for governments and companies seeking to build reliable, modern energy systems.
Oil and gas capital expenditure is projected to reach $54 billion by 2030, while renewable projects and power infrastructure are also drawing new flows of capital. Yet, with Africa requiring up to $240 billion annually to meet its energy and climate goals, the continent’s energy investment gap remains significant.
