The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially declared Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the 2026 Ekiti State governorship election.
The declaration was made by the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Ekiti State, Dr. Bunmi Omoseyindemi, following the collation of results from all 16 local government areas of the state.
According to the final figures announced by INEC, Oyebanji polled a total of 319,224 votes, securing a commanding lead over his closest challenger, Dr. Wole Oluyede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 40,543 votes.
