DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, October 15, 2025 —
GITEX LATAM, the inaugural Latin American edition of the world’s largest and most influential tech show, will debut at Distrito Anhembi, São Paulo, Brazil, from 16–17 March 2027, positioning the region as the new epicentre of global digital innovation.
Organised by Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and KAOUN International, in partnership with the São Paulo Development Agency (ADESAMPA), the landmark event marks a new chapter in Latin America’s digital transformation journey.
With the region’s digital market projected to approach US$950 billion by 2026 (PCMI), GITEX LATAM aims to accelerate economic growth and technology-driven collaboration across industries including AI, agritech, connectivity, cloud, cybersecurity, and data centres.
GITEX LATAM to Redefine Latin America’s Digital Future
Leveraging Brazil’s leadership in innovation, startup development, and digital infrastructure, GITEX LATAM will serve as a global gateway where the region’s most ambitious tech pioneers connect with investors, policymakers, and international partners.
Ricardo Nunes, Mayor of São Paulo, welcomed the debut event, saying:
“São Paulo is excited to host GITEX LATAM, a landmark catalyst for global collaboration.
This platform will enable our finest innovators, startups, and enterprises to connect with international opportunities, unlock new partnerships, and position our city as Latin America’s premier hub for innovation, investment, and growth.”
Brazil as a Vibrant Cornerstone of Regional Tech Growth
With Brazil’s ICT market forecast to reach US$259 billion (IMARC Group) and its AI industry projected at US$99.8 billion by 2033 (Grand View Horizon), GITEX LATAM will highlight the nation’s emergence as a powerhouse in the global innovation ecosystem.
Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of DWTC and CEO of KAOUN International, said:
“Brazil is the vibrant cornerstone of Latin America’s economy and a leading benchmark for inclusive technology development.
Together with São Paulo, GITEX LATAM will integrate Latin America with the limitless digital universe, enabling unprecedented access to capital, technology, and global partnerships.”
Connecting Innovators to a US$6.8 Trillion Economy
According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Latin America’s emerging economies are projected to generate US$6.8 trillion in GDP by 2025.
By connecting global stakeholders through GITEX LATAM, the event will channel investment and innovation into the region’s rapidly evolving digital landscape.
From AI to renewable energy, the two-day event will convene international leaders, entrepreneurs, and visionaries to discuss policies and partnerships shaping Latin America’s digital decade.
São Paulo: Latin America’s Startup Capital Welcomes GITEX LATAM
As Latin America’s leading startup hub, São Paulo stands as the natural host for GITEX LATAM.
The city ranks first in the StartupBlink Global Startup Ecosystem Index 2025, attracting over US$33.5 billion in venture capital over the past decade and generating 11 unicorns valued at more than US$1 billion each.
Rodrigo Goulart, Municipal Secretary of Economic Development and Labour of São Paulo, noted:
“São Paulo awaits GITEX LATAM with great anticipation. By leveraging GITEX’s global reputation for fostering the digital economy, we aim to strengthen investor confidence, empower entrepreneurs, and build long-term partnerships that advance Latin America’s innovation agenda.”
Building on Global Momentum
The announcement of GITEX LATAM was made during GITEX GLOBAL 2025, the world’s largest tech and AI exhibition held in Dubai from 13–17 October 2025.
The event saw major participation from Brazil, which served as the Official Country Partner, showcasing more than 50 startups and innovation hubs across two national pavilions led by ApexBrasil.
The launch also coincides with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the UAE and Brazil, following renewed bilateral commitments at the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Rio de Janeiro (November 2024).
Both nations pledged to strengthen cooperation in AI, agriculture, climate change, renewable energy, and innovation, setting the stage for GITEX LATAM to advance this partnership on a global platform.
