The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has publicly addressed the ongoing investigations involving former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, and former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, calling for transparency in legal proceedings and strict adherence to constitutional principles.
In a statement released by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said it has been closely observing developments surrounding the cases.
While affirming that no citizen is above the law, the ADC stressed that investigations and prosecutions must reflect transparency in legal proceedings to maintain public confidence in Nigeria’s justice system.
According to the party, concerns have emerged regarding the manner in which enforcement actions involving El-Rufai and Malami are being handled.
The ADC noted that both men have reportedly been moved between different security and investigative agencies while inquiries are still ongoing.

“If there is evidence against Abubakar Malami, prosecute him openly and in line with due process.
If there is evidence against Nasir el-Rufai, bring it before a competent court and allow the law to take its course,” the statement read.
