Flying Eagles midfielder Daniel Daga is ecstatic after scoring his first league goal for Molde in their thrilling 3-2 victory over Valerenga on Sunday night. Introduced in the 76th minute, Daga made a significant impact, scoring the equalizing goal with a powerful shot from inside the box just four minutes later.
The 18-year-old’s goal marked a turning point in the match, with Molde eventually securing a 3-2 win at the Intility Arena. Daga’s performance was a testament to his growing influence in the team, having made six league appearances for Molde this season. This goal was a milestone for the young midfielder, who had previously scored in the Norwegian Cup on April 13.
Daga’s excitement was palpable as he took to social media to celebrate his goal, writing, “Unless they kill God. Unbelievable feeling! First league goal and it’s a moment of pure joy!” This sentiment captured the essence of his achievement, highlighting the significance of his breakthrough moment.
The win over Valerenga has boosted Molde’s morale, particularly after their recent narrow loss to league leaders Viking. With this victory, Molde currently sits in 11th place in the 16-team table with 14 points. They will look to build on this momentum in their next fixture against KFUM this coming Sunday.
Daga’s emergence as a key player for Molde underscores the importance of youth development in football. His performances have drawn comparisons to other talented midfielders, with Daga citing N’Golo Kanté and Yves Bissouma as his role models. As Molde continues to navigate the Eliteserien, Daga’s contributions will be crucial in determining the team’s success.
