Members of the church who were dissatisfied with the priest’s behavior gathered on the premises of the church, but they refused to begin the service.

As a form of protest against their priest, Venerable Oke Olanrewaju, members of the Anglican Diocese of Ekiti, All Saints’ Church, Anointed Land in Ado-Ekiti, declined to attend the regular worship service on Sunday, March 2, 2025. This led to a dramatic situation.
The members of the church who were dissatisfied with the priest’s behavior gathered on the premises of the church, but they refused to begin the service.
They demanded that the Bishop of the Diocese, the Right Reverend Andrew Olusola Ajayi, remove the priest from his position.

The members who participated in the demonstrations said that the vicar had engaged in sinful behavior, high-handedness, recklessness, and mishandling of church resources.
They asserted that the priest had not made any significant contributions to the church, either physically or spiritually; hence, they insisted that he be transferred so that peace could prevail.
When the priest, who is also the vicar and archdeacon of Opopogboro, was allegedly attempting to forcibly remove the church treasure, the members of the congregation allegedly condoned his excesses until he recently made the attempt.

Additionally, they asserted that he had brought a large and terrifying female dog to the hallowed baptismal font, and that the dog had defecated in the font, therefore desecrating it.
An official request for the removal of the vicar has been sent to the Lord Bishop of the Diocese, the Right Reverend Andrew Olusola Ajayi, according to Mr. Adeboyega Falowo, who serves as the Secretary of the Parish Council Committee (PCC).
At the same time, he mentioned that a petition in favor of the demand had been signed by a significant number of church members.
