Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed the President Bola Tinubu administration’s commitment to investing in quality education for all Nigerian children, stressing that it remains a top priority. Speaking at the presentation of digital learning devices to students of Government Science Secondary School, Pyakasa, Abuja, Shettima emphasized the importance of private sector partnership in achieving this goal.

He commended MTN Nigeria Communications PLC for donating 4,600 digital devices to secondary school students across the country’s six geopolitical zones. Shettima described this gesture as “not just an act of corporate social responsibility” but also an investment in Nigeria’s intellectual capital and a testament to MTN’s commitment to the country’s progress.

Shettima also highlighted the significance of digital literacy in today’s world, stating that “the classroom is no longer just a physical space; it is now an infinite world of knowledge, only a click away.” He encouraged students to utilize the donated devices to broaden their knowledge, sharpen their skills, and prepare themselves for future opportunities.

The Vice President expressed President Tinubu’s gratitude to MTN Nigeria’s leadership, particularly Chairman Dr. Ernest Ndukwe, for their support. He also acknowledged the importance of collaboration between the government and private sector in advancing education and intellectual capital in Nigeria.
