The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a 38-year-old man and his friend for allegedly conspiring to defile and impregnate the man’s 14-year-old stepdaughter in the Okokomaiko area of the state.
According to the command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the mother of the survivor reported the case at the Okokomaiko Police Division on Friday, stating that her daughter had been defiled by her husband and his friend.
The case was subsequently transferred to the Gender Unit, Ikeja, for further investigation. Hundeyin confirmed that the survivor is now nine months pregnant.
The spokesperson stated that the case will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded. This disturbing incident highlights the need for increased vigilance and protection for vulnerable children, particularly those in domestic environments.
