Engr. Muhammad Diggol, the Commissioner for the Ministry of Project Monitoring and Evaluation, has officially resigned from his position, raising eyebrows and sparking speculations about the political dynamics within the state’s government.

While the specific reasons behind Diggol’s resignation have not been disclosed, speculation in some quarters suggests that his departure may stem from a deteriorating relationship with Governor Abba Yusuf.

It is noted that Mr Diggol initially served as the transportation commissioner when the administration began in 2023.

Mr Diggol was moved from the transport ministry to the project monitoring and evaluation ministry in December 2024 during a cabinet reshuffle.

Meanwhile, Governor Yusuf expressed his gratitude to Engr. Diggol for his selfless service, unwavering dedication, and exemplary work ethic during his tenure as a member of the State Executive Council.

Recall that before his resignation, Diggol alongside the sacked Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi was earlier suspended by the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP in the state over what was described as disloyalty, abuse of power and creating chaos in the party.
