11 Persons Convicted, Jailed for Internet Fraud in Edo

The Edo State High Court had convicted and sentenced 11 individuals for internet fraud-related crimes, with 2-3 years jail terms

The Edo State High Court in Benin City has convicted and sentenced 11 individuals for internet fraud-related crimes.

Including obtaining by false pretence, advance fee fraud, and possession of fraudulent documents.

The convicts, who pleaded guilty to the charges, were sentenced to various jail terms by Justice W.I. Aziegbemhin. The sentences range from two to three years imprisonment, with fine options of N200,000 to N400,000 .

The individuals convicted are:

– Izomor Samuel Efe: 2 years imprisonment or N200,000 fine

– Nosakhare Bright: 2 years imprisonment or N200,000 fine

– Emovon Destiny: 2 years imprisonment or N400,000 fine

– Vincent Arogbo: 2 years imprisonment or N400,000 fine

– Osarentin Morgan Aduwa: 3 years imprisonment or N200,000 fine

– Osagiede Destiny Oghosa: 3 years imprisonment or N200,000 fine

– Nosakhare Ernest Theophilus: 3 years imprisonment or N200,000 fine

– Junior Emmanuel Efe: 3 years imprisonment or N200,000 fine

– Osimen Princewill: 3 years imprisonment or N200,000 fine

– Obamedo Clinton: 3 years imprisonment or N200,000 fine

– David Iyobor: 3 years imprisonment or N200,000 fine

In addition to their sentences, the convicts forfeited their phones, laptop computers, and sums of money in their bank accounts to the federal government.
