A total of 135 migrants of different countries, including 65 minors, were sent back to Costa Rica by the United States on Thursday, as reported by the government of Costa Rica.

An AFP journalist reported that their airplane initially took off from San Diego, California, and that it eventually arrived at a facility that was located close to Juan Santamaria International Airport.

Approximately 360 kilometers (224 miles) distant, close to the border with Panama, the deportees, who will be returned to their countries of origin from Costa Rica, were transported by bus from the capital city of San Jose to a facility for migrants located approximately 360 kilometers (224 miles) away.

According to the deputy interior minister of Costa Rica, Omer Badilla, all of the sixty-five children who were on the flight were accompanied by a relative, and none of the youngsters on the flight had a criminal or criminal history.

In addition to those from Afghanistan, China, Iran, Russia, Armenia, Georgia, Vietnam, Jordan, Kazakhstan, and Ghana, the group of migrants also included people from other countries.

It has been agreed upon by Costa Rica, Panama, and Guatemala that they will take in migrants from other countries that have been expelled by the United States and detain them until they are either returned to their home countries or transported to other countries that are hosting them.

Two hundred and ninety-nine migrants who had been deported arrived in Panama last week. Of them, about one hundred were sent to the San Vicente refugee camp in Meteti, which is located in the jungle state of Darien.
