All nightclub operations in the state have been prohibited by the Katsina State Hisbah Board, which cited Islamic beliefs and the necessity of upholding moral values as the reasons for the prohibition.

In a statement that was released in Katsina on Wednesday, the Hisbah Commander-General, Dr. Aminu Usman (Abu Ammar), made this announcement concerning the organization.

In order to combat immoral practices, safeguard cultural values, and address concerns regarding security in the state, he declared that proprietors of nightclubs should close their facilities.

He affirmed that the board had communicated the direction to the appropriate security agencies, including the state Commissioner for Internal Security, in order to provide effective enforcement of the directive.

“The board warned that violators would face strict penalties. Security agencies have been instructed to ensure full compliance with the order.

“We are committed to building a morally upright society and ensuring peace and security in Katsina State.

“This move aligns with Hisbah’s broader efforts to ensure residents continue their lives in line with religious and moral standards.”
