A video that has gone viral shows three individuals who are suspected of kidnapping being questioned after they were allegedly apprehended at Victory Estate in Ago, which is located in Lagos State.
Residents went so far as to strip the men naked and then beat them.
Ifeanyi, Stanley Emmanuel aka Davido, and Sadiq named themselves during the course of the interrogation.
Ifeanyi was from the state of Anambra, Stanley Emmanuel aka Davido was from the state of Imo, and Sadiq was from the state of Kwara.
They claimed that Davido was the leader of the group and that he was the one who brought them all together.
Every one of the three suspects admitted that they had traveled to the neighborhood with the intention of “kidnapping” someone, but they all vowed that they would never go back to the street again.
In response to the video, which was uploaded on X, the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police, Benjamin Hundeyin, provided his thoughts.
“This matter was not reported to the Police. However, investigations have commenced to unravel what truly transpired, locate the men and take further necessary actions.
“The estate chairman, two other exco members and a resident are currently assisting the Police with the ongoing investigations. Further updates will be provided in due course.”
