RATTAWU BOWS, DELIVER WITHHELD MAKINDE’S DONATION TO BCOS STAFF

Mr. Sola Ajayi, who was hurt in an accident has received N2 million from Governor Seyi Makinde, which was disbursed by the Radio and Television Theatre Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) BCOS.

Ireport247new reported on 24,December 2024 that Comrade Kolapo Carew, the Chairman of BCOS RATTAWU, signed and published a statement on expressing gratitude to Governor Makinde.

The announcement which states that Mr. Ajayi will benefit from the governor’s financial assistance in order to receive appropriate medical care at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan.

Ireport247new has also reported that the union has denied Mr. Sola Ajayi, an employee of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, access to crucial funds designated for his medical treatment since December 2024. Mr. Ajayi is currently undergoing ongoing treatment at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, which has raised concerns about the impact of this denial on his health and recovery.

The situation has garnered attention, as it highlights the broader issues of support and access to healthcare for employees facing medical challenges.

In a statement released today, Comrade Kolapo announced that the total of N2,000,000 was donated by Governor Makinde and has been given to Mr. Ajayi through his brother, Mr. Clement Ajayi, in order to facilitate his medical treatment.

In the statement, Kolapo expressed gratitude to everyone who rendered assistance to Mr Ajaji.

It reads, “The Radio, Television, Theatre, and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) chapter of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) would like to express its sincere gratitude to everyone who has helped our member, Mr. Shola Ajayi, since his accident a few months ago.

“Chairman Comrade Kolapo Carew expresses his gratitude to everyone for their support.

“It has been decided that the ₦2 million donated by His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde has been released today, February 18, 2025, to Mr. Ajayi through his brother, Mr. Clement Ajayi, in order to facilitate his medical treatment at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, following lengthy discussions with the Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OYSHIA), led by Dr. Sola Akande, and the BCOS management team, which includes Mrs. Dotun Olaitan, General Manager Mr. Goke Adelakun, Mr. Kunle Junaid, Mr. Abiola Olawale, Mr. Abiola Olawale, and the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde, Mrs. Bose Sodiq.

“We also ask for continuous prayers for Mr. Ajayi’s speedy recovery and thank everyone else who has helped in any way to address his health issues.”
