Tambuwal:APC Uses Hunger as Weapon to hold onto Power.

APC should stop attacking those who speak the truth and focus on fixing the mess they have created. Nigeria needs real leadership, not a party that weaponizes hunger and hardship to retain power.

Former Sokoto State Governor and current federal lawmaker Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has charged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is forcing opposition defections through propaganda and pressure.

He said that the APC’s most recent assault on him was an effort to quell criticism and deflect focus from Nigeria’s deteriorating situation.

The statement from Tambuwal comes after APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka called Tambuwal’s worries over recent defections unfounded.

The senator maintains that lawmakers’ migration to the APC is motivated by desperation rather than ideological convictions in light of the devastating economic hardship brought on by the failing policies of the incumbent party.

“The APC wants to deceive Nigerians into believing that these defections are proof of good governance. The truth is that life under this administration has become unbearable — inflation is skyrocketing, insecurity is worsening, and unemployment is deepening.

“Nigerians know that the APC thrives on propaganda, not performance.

“APC leaders have abandoned governance and now focus on deploying stomach infrastructure to lure struggling politicians. This is not democracy — it is survival politics.

“The APC should stop attacking those who speak the truth and focus on fixing the mess they have created. Nigeria needs real leadership, not a party that weaponizes hunger and hardship to retain power.”
