Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commissioned the reconstructed Chief Yesufu Abiodun Oniru Road, Akiogun Road, and alternative routes to Admiralty Circle Plaza in Lekki, as well as Abudu Smith Street. These roads, located in the Iru Victoria Island Local Council Development Area of Eti-Osa Local Government Area, are expected to improve mobility and urban infrastructure in the state.
Sanwo-Olu emphasized the significance of these projects, stating that they are a major step towards enhancing transportation and the overall quality of life for Lagos residents. He described Abudu Smith Street as a vital hub for business and tourism, adding that its upgrade will ensure smoother traffic flow and reduce congestion.
The governor also highlighted the broader impact of these infrastructure improvements, saying that they reflect the state’s commitment to building a world-class city. He emphasized that investing in infrastructure is crucial for economic growth, improved mobility, and a better quality of life for all Lagosians.
The event was attended by key government officials, including Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat and Special Adviser to the Governor on Infrastructure Olufemi Daramola.
