Bishop stabbed to death by a jealous husband over a supposed romance with his wife in Osun

In Osogbo, Osun State, Bishop Shina Olaribigbe, the founder of Rapture Empowerment International, was fatally stabbed on Thursday while trying to resolve a domestic conflict between a couple.

“The couple was not living together, though they were not legally separated,” stated Yemisi Opalola, Osun State Public Relations Officer, in response to the occurrence.

On this particular occasion, the estranged husband appeared at the wife’s home while the pastor was there to mediate their arguments.

The pastor was killed by many stab wounds from the husband, according to what we were told. There is a possibility that the husband thought the pastor was cheating on his wife.

The deceased’s church members were horrified by the event, which happened in the early hours of the morning and caused them to weep and mourn.

After learning that the wife, an interpreter at his church in the BCGA neighborhood of Osogbo, had been ill for a few days because of a disagreement with her husband, Olaribigbe visited the couple’s home, according to the results of the investigation.

It was learned that the clergyman likewise wanted to resolve their issues and had urged them to put peace first at all times to avoid tragedy.

When the husband spotted the priest when he got home, he allegedly stabbed the man of God to death because he thought they were having an affair.

Witnesses reported that the pastor died instantly when the husband stabbed him in the chest. The husband and wife are currently being questioned at Osogbo’s Dugbe Divisional Police Station.

The deceased’s remains are now at the Uniosun Teaching Hospital in Osogbo.
