According to Dr. Salma Anas, Special Adviser to the President on Health, this partnership aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s vision of achieving universal healthcare coverage for all Nigerians. Anas emphasized the importance of early disease detection and highlighted the positive outcomes from recent medical interventions, including a successful procedure at the Federal Medical Centre in Abuja.
The partnership has already shown promising results, with plans to establish a capacity-based resource center at the Federal Medical Centre. This center will serve as a hub for training and research, enabling healthcare professionals across Nigeria to benefit from the expertise shared through this collaboration.
Israeli Ambassador Michael Freeman reiterated Israel’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s healthcare development, aiming to build capacity, share knowledge, and establish Nigeria as a center of excellence in healthcare.
