
A heated altercation between a student and her lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) has sparked an investigation ordered by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph I.Ikechebelu.
The incident involved a female student allegedly biting and physically confronting her lecturer, identified as Dr. Chukwudi Michael, at the Faculty of Arts.
According to reports, the conflict started when the lecturer interrupted a video recording the student was making, leading to a heated argument that escalated into a physical fight.
The student allegedly bit the lecturer multiple times and tore his clothes during the struggle .
The university has emphasized its commitment to discipline and decorum, with the Acting Head of Information, Public Relations, and Protocol, Njelita Louis, stating that appropriate sanctions will be imposed on any party found culpable.
The investigation is ongoing, and the university has urged all parties to remain calm while the truth is diligently pursued.
