Access Bank has paid respect to the late Herbert Wigwe, former CEO of Access Holdings, his wife Chizoba, and their son Chizzy, who were sadly killed in a helicopter crash in California precisely one year ago on February 9, 2024.

In a message posted on X (previously Twitter) on Sunday, the bank remembered them and reflected on the enormous influence they had on the institution and the larger community.

The terrible accident shook Nigeria’s economic and financial sectors, since Herbert Wigwe was widely considered as one of the country’s most powerful banking leaders.

A memorial service for the late Herbert, Chizoba, and Chizi Wigwe is currently being conducted at the Eko Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria.
