As Marseille gets ready to play Angers this weekend, Mason Greenwood reportedly missed the team’s most recent practice for “personal reasons.”

Prior to Sunday’s trip to Angers, the former Manchester United player did not show up for training on Friday. The ‘personal reasons’ are not a cause for concern, according to the report.

Greenwood has been among the greatest performers in Ligue 1 this season, thus Marseille will greatly benefit from his availability for the match against Angers. They will strive to catch up to the dominant leaders, Paris Saint-Germain, as they now hold the second spot in the division.

Greenwood has made 22 appearances for the French powerhouses in all competitions this season, tallying 14 goals and dishing out four assists.

After the Angers match, Greenwood’s Marseille team play Saint Etienne in another Ligue 1 meeting on February 15.
