Mojisola Meranda, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has credited Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, Nigeria’s First Lady, with her political accomplishments.

On Friday, Meranda (APC-Apapa 1) gave a speech at the House of Assembly compound in Ikeja.

Meranda characterized Tinubu as a genuine representative of women in the state and the nation, stating that her political journey was significantly aided by her unwavering guidance and assistance.

After Mudashiru Obasa, the immediate past speaker, was impeached by the House in January, Meranda took over as speaker, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Because of everything she had done for her in politics, the speaker said she was always happy to call her a mother.

She continues to serve as a mentor to me and numerous other women who are making a great impact in Lagos and throughout the nation.

She consistently sets an example for all of us and demonstrates how women may become positive role models in society.

“She is an inspiration to us, and I want to thank her on behalf of Nigerians for everything she does to help the poor, the disabled, and the needy.

Meranda continued, “I want to thank her for everything she has done for the various states.

“Stella Osafile, another member who represents Amuwo-Odofin 1 at the state house, commended the First Lady for her contribution in promoting women and children.

The sole legislator from the Labour Party in the State Assembly, Osafile, praised Mrs. Tinubu for setting the example, urging all Nigerian women to take part in the #EveryHomeAGarden competition, and taking the initiative.

The congressman predicted that the program will eventually lead to the country’s food security.

The First Lady is a woman of compassion and zeal, according to Omolara Oyekan-Olumegbon (APC-Lagos Island I).

Oyekan-Olumegbon stated that Mrs. Tinubu’s numerous activities would contribute to the realization of President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda. (NAN)
