During an enforcement operation in Lagos, an unidentified individual wearing a police uniform is accused of shooting and wounding a Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer.

According to reports, the incident happened as the Lagos Sector Command’s statewide FRSC crackdown on fake license plates got underway.

According to Channel TV, when the incident occurred, the enforcement team was aggressively performing checks.

Corps Commander Kehinde Hamzat, the Lagos Sector Commander in charge of the operation, refused to comment on the shooting.

Lagos police officials have not commented on the incident, and authorities have not yet verified whether the attacker is a member of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

The Lagos State FRSC halted its enforcement of fake license plates after the incident.
