The former President Muhammadu Buhari, throughout his eight years in office, the nation’s economy and security greatly improved.
Buhari made this claim on Wednesday when hosting members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists’ Katsina State Correspondents’ Chapel at his rural residence in Daura, Katsina State.
The former president claimed that the Peoples Democratic Party, which ruled for 16 years, left him with a weak economy and security issues.
However, Buhari claimed that his government’s policies effectively addressed these issues, reducing economic suffering and terrorism.
“Compared to when we met in 2015, Nigeria’s economy and security have greatly improved under my administration,” he stated. Nigeria will continue to get better.
The former president also recognized the administrative difficulties facing the nation, pointing out that only people in positions of authority fully comprehend these difficulties.
Yusuf Ibrahim-Jargaba, the Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, praised Buhari’s efforts in addressing banditry, terrorism, and other security issues throughout his term in office.
The former president’s diligence, commitment, and selfless devotion were also praised by Ibrahim-Jargaba, who said they contributed to the nation’s unity.
