The world’s largest oil producer and top integrated oil and gas corporation, Aramco, has received two cargoes of jet fuel from Dangote Petroleum Refinery.
Aliko Dangote, the president of the Dangote Group, made this announcement on Tuesday when the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) delegation visited the Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals and Dangote Fertiliser Limited in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos.
He claimed that the world-class standards and cutting-edge technologies of his refinery were the reason for exporting goods to international markets, particularly Saudi Aramco.
“We are reaching the ambitious goals we set for ourselves and I’m pleased to announce that we’ve just sold two cargoes of jet fuel to Saudi Aramco,” he said.
NESG Chairman Mr. Niyi Yusuf, praised Aliko Dangote for building the $20 billion refinery, the largest single-train refinery in the world.
He said, “To achieve a $1 trillion economy, much of that must come from domestic investments.
“This refinery, fertiliser plant, petrochemical complex, and supporting infrastructure are monumental.”
According to him, the NESG will keep pushing for a better investment climate in order to draw in business owners, promote growth, guarantee food security, and combat instability.
Dangote also reaffirmed the role of the private sector in the advancement of the country and claimed that giving its citizens gainful work would help Nigeria overcome its problems.
