Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North in the Senate, has cautioned Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori against considering joining his new party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Nwoko made this statement shortly after the National Working Committee (NWC), led by Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, officially welcomed him into the APC on Wednesday at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

“My first concern in leaving PDP is to make sure that there is enough time for me to get some things done through federal government.

I’m tired of being in Delta and almost like in opposition, because I tell them what to do, they don’t want to do it, I keep telling them,” the lawmaker said, adding that he would not welcome the governor if he chose to join the APC as rumored.

“I am unmatched anyplace, Sheriff. He consequently automatically became a governor. And all of a sudden, he no longer respects me.

“No, I won’t greet him. How? Why? He lacks the ability to serve as governor where we are, as I just informed you. He hasn’t lived up to my standards.

“I told him that we had projects that needed to be completed for the people, but he refused to do them,” he claimed.

In addition to delivering the South-South State to the ruling party in the upcoming general election, Nwoko promised to bring the APC together and bring unity to the party in Delta State.

Speaking to the senator from Delta North, APC national chairman Ganduje urged Nwoko to cooperate with other parties for the party’s benefit.

We anticipate a well-organized party apparatus in that state, made up of both men and women, particularly young males who will visit homes to demonstrate the APC’s near-universal dominance.

“Distinguished Senator, you are quite welcome to join our wonderful party. Without a question, our fantastic celebration is the most patriotic one, with members from all over the nation.

“National integration is something that our party supports. Our party is in favor of national cohesion. “Our party is committed to advancing and bringing prosperity to the Nigerian people,” Ganduje said.
