Senator Ned Nwoko’s departure from the Peoples Democratic Party has been hailed by APC National Woman Leader Dr. Mary Alile as a decisive win for the party and a step toward enhancing inclusive governance in Nigeria.

The APC national women leader emphasized the importance of the political development in a statement she signed on Wednesday in Abuja, pointing out that it shows the increasing trust in the party’s policies and leadership.

She said, “The APC’s increasing influence, strategic direction, and dedication to national development are all amply demonstrated by the decision of a renowned lawmaker like Senator Ned Nwoko to join the party.

Additionally, it strongly conveys to female politicians that the APC is still the greatest platform for inclusiveness and progressive administration.

Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North was received by the APC National Working Committee, at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

Alile, known for her relentless advocacy for women’s political participation, used the opportunity to encourage more female leaders to take advantage of the APC’s open-door policy.

She emphasized the need for women to be at the forefront of political decision-making in order to guarantee that their opinions influence governance and policy.

“I encourage more women to step forward and take up active roles in politics,” she continued, adding that the APC is still dedicated to giving women a platform to succeed in leadership roles.

The APC is spearheading the shift away from the perception of politics as a field dominated by men.

“The APC has won a major victory with Nwoko’s defection, especially in Delta State, where the ruling party is trying to increase its power before upcoming elections.”

Alile reiterated the APC’s commitment to gender inclusivity, young empowerment, and good governance as the party continues to add prominent lawmakers to its ranks.

She gave Nigerians her word that the APC is still dedicated to supporting laws that advance equality for all, especially for women in politics and government.
