Harry Kane is happy that Mathys Tel, a former Bayern Munich teammate, has joined Tottenham.
The former Tottenham captain played a key role in encouraging the French forward to join Spurs on deadline day.
“It’s a great move for both parties,” Kane stated on Cleats Club. “Mathys is a fantastic man who works hard and has a lot of potential.
It will be critical for him to get some minutes under his belt, as well as some regular game time, in order to develop, improve, and realize his full potential.
“It’s fantastic for Tottenham to have a young, eager player with a lot of talent who can hopefully score some goals and help Spurs advance as far as possible.
I wish him the best of luck and hope he has a terrific time there, which I am confident he will.
I’m sure all the supporters will make him feel very welcome as well.” Tel also told Tottenham’s website: “He told me this is a large club with a lot of very nice individuals.”
“The pitch is really beautiful. The training facility is extremely good. And if you go, you can have a good time. So everything was positive from Harry Kane.”
Tel has joined Spurs on loan until June, with a €55 million buyout option. The youngster has also agreed to a six year contract with spurs should the permanent seal go ahead.
