Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, has denied any role in the purported dismissal of Ogbaru Local Government Area Chairman Chief Franklin Nwadialor.

He underlined that it is outside the scope of his constitutional authority to meddle in local government operations.

Udeze, who represents Ogbaru II constituency, stated, “I have no hand in the removal of any chairman, including Chief Franklin Nwadialor, or any interference in the administration of Ogbaru Council Area.”

The arrest of Chief Nwadialor in the United States for an alleged historical transgression has garnered media attention lately.

Through Franklin Osuagwu, his media assistant, the Speaker asked the people to ignore rumors that he was involved in Ogbaru LG’s salary withholding.

He explained that the administration of local governments is carried out by designated individuals in accordance with constitutional laws.

“I have too many official responsibilities as Speaker to interfere with Ogbaru Local Government Area administration,” he claimed.

Udeze emphasized his commitment during the last 18 months to making sure that state growth, peace, and security are promoted through legislative measures.

He listed a number of accomplishments for his Ogbaru constituency, such as the rehabilitation of failed roads, the attraction of road projects like the Atani-Ozubulu Road, and different empowerment programs and job possibilities.

The Speaker urged the people of Ogbaru to support his development initiatives rather than damage his reputation, and he gave his word that the State Assembly, led by him, is still dedicated to promoting Anambra State.

Udeze listed the current construction of a sizable Agricultural Processing Plant in Atani as one of his personally financed development initiatives. When finished, the plant will serve the whole Ogbaru Local Government Area.

Additionally, he emphasized his plea that Governor Chukwuma Soludo build the Atani-Osomalla-Ogwuikpele Road, which the governor agreed to do.
