
Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has congratulated singer Tems on her win at the recently completed 67th Grammy Awards.
On Sunday, Tems’ ‘Love Me Jeje’ beat out “Tomorrow” (Yemi Alade), “MMS” (Asake & Wizkid), “Sensational” (Chris Brown featuring Davido & Lojay), and “Higher” (Burna Boy) for Best African Music Performance.
In a Monday post on X, he lauded the Nigerian entertainment sector and other Grammy-nominated artists, emphasizing the country’s talent.
He stated, “I am continually pleased by the tremendous success that Nigerian youths are having in a variety of disciplines, particularly in the entertainment industry.”
“I’d like to express my heartfelt congrats to our Nigerian Afrobeats star, Tems @temsbaby, who won her second Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance.”
“I also congratulate Nigeria’s entertainment industry and other Nigerian artists who have been nominated for various accolades in their respective categories.
